Dr. Michelle Yuching Chou is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and faculty member in Developmental Biology and Orthodontics at Harvard University. She received her dental degree from New York University, where she graduated with honors in orthodontics and in research. She was also bestowed with the FD Weiss Certificate for highest scholastic achievement, the Botkin Memorial Award for outstanding achievements in orthodontics, and the Rudner Memorial Award for superior performance in comprehensive clinical care. Dr. Chou was also inducted into the National Dental Honor Society (OKU). Dr. Chou received a Masters of Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health, and accomplished postdoctoral orthodontic specialty training and received her Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from Harvard University.
Dr. Chou is passionate about scientific research and dental education. She presented her research results at the 2012 and 2015 American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session, the 2012 Symposium in Translational Orthodontic Research, and 2015 IADR/AADR General Session. Her research work has led to several publications and invited lectures. One of her recent publications has featured on the cover of American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and was selected as the “Article of the Month” by the Journal. Dr. Chou has been involved with academic instruction of residents and dental students at both NYU and Harvard. In addition to her passion for orthodontics, science and teaching, Dr. Chou is an accomplished classical pianist and orchestra conductor.
