17th Annual Dover Sherborn Boosters Triathlon
It is that time of year again! The 17th annual Dover Sherborn Boosters triathlon event is right around the corner.
The race will be held on Sunday, September 24th beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Dover Sherborn High School at 9 Junction Street, Dover-Sherborn, MA 02030.
What can you expect as an athlete at this annual event? Get ready to swim, bike, and run! The triathlon is so exciting that it keeps those near and far running back year after year.
You will kick off the race with a dip in the water — a ¼ mile swim in the clear Farm Pond. Next up is a 14.3-mile bike ride through the hills and backcountry that fill our beautiful landscape. Many join the race just so they can experience this ride. And, finally, you will run a challenging 3.4 miles through Sherborn and Dover’s back roads on a well-designed course that will take you through farms and neighborhoods.

The race itself will end at the high school stadium. Whether you are the first to run through the finish line, the last, or somewhere in between, you can count on a group of spectators just waiting to cheer your accomplishment. Last year’s winner was Tony Delogne with a time of one hour, four minutes, and 2 seconds.
The race should conclude by 11:00 a.m.
Something for Everyone
Even if you aren’t the athletic type or just have no interest in joining the race, you can still take part in the festivities. After all, everyone loves to have support – so, cheering on the participants is always much appreciated.
While they are getting their swim, bike, and run on, spectators young and old can enjoy all the fun activities on the turf of the high school’s field. Then, once the race concludes, all participants can enjoy a Breakfast Brunch Buffet to quench the appetite they’ve worked up.
This entire event brings the community together – and it is all thanks to the volunteers benefitting the Dover-Sherborn Boosters, a non-profit organization that focuses on offering quality athletic experiences for children while promoting the benefits and joy of health and exercise.

The clock is ticking. If you are up for the challenge and would like to participate in this annual triathlon, register today. The cost is $100 for individuals and $185 for relay teams. Spectators are not required to register or purchase a ticket – it’s free to show up and cheer on the athletes.
Our very own Dr. Jenny Chang, a local resident of Sherborn since 2014 and a sponsor of multiple community events, will join the race with her family.
